Question

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and cameras are put away and turned to silent/off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer and to capture some of the most important moments of our lives and we'd hate to have a person's phone or camera blocking that moment for our photographer to capture. After the ceremony exit, please feel free to take as many phots as you want and share them with us!

Question

What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we do not receive an RSVP back from you, by September 6th, you will be marked " not attending." The reason for this being that we must provide accurate guest counts to all of our venders within a timely manner, and out of respect for the bride and groom.

Question

Are there any colors we should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride- whites, ivories and creams.

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

We kindly ask that you dress formally.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Due to limited numbers, we hope you understand that our wedding will be kid-free.

Question

How We Met - Two Sides of Every Story:

Answer

Jamie: In early 2020, I had really been struggling with my mental health. I had decided to take some time to figure out who I was, who I wanted to be, and what I was looking for. When I felt like I was ready, and felt like I was ready to try to start dating again, I wanted to try to put effort into finding a life long partner. I decided to download some dating apps. I tried a few, but I really wasn't having any luck. I finally decided to download this one called " OK CUPID." There was this particular guy and profile that really stood out to me because of what his Bio said, matched to some degree of what I was looking for. As well, as he was BEYOND handsome. So I took that risk and swiped Right. Next time I went back on the app, I noticed that that person had created a match for me. With being the bold person I am, I decided to send a message. " Hey, what's up?" I had no idea that almost 4 years later, sending that message was the best damn choice I had ever made. I now get the marry the love of my life and so beyond excited on what life has in store for us! Alex: During the pandemic when everything was closed, I decided to give the dating app "OKCupid" a shot in order to socialize and maybe meet someone with similar interests and hobbies. After a few weeks of "swiping right," I remember matching with a cute girl named Jamie. Shortly after matching, she shot me a message and we connected pretty quickly. Since restaurants and bars were still closed for the pandemic, I was surprised when she agreed to meet at my house so we could meet for the first time in-person. While it was a bit awkward at first, we could both tell that the connection and spark was there and the rest is history!

Question

Favorite memory of each other:

Answer

Jamie: This is such a hard question because there are so many! I would probably have to say only like 6 months into us dating, I asked Alex if he wanted to go to Hawaii with me. That trip, really consolidated our relationship and really showed how compatible we actually were. It was during the middle of Covid, which added more stress but it gave us the opportunity to see how we handle stressful situations together, and we nailed it! Alex: I would also say that my favorite memory of us was when we took our first trip together to Hawaii. I wasn't much of a traveler before meeting her so her suggestion that we go on vacation together after just 6 months of dating was both surprising and exciting since I had never traveled that far on a plane before. When you travel with someone, you truly get to see how they behave in both relaxing and stressful situations. After arriving in Maui, it was almost like I was in a dream with the best companion I could imagine. We were on the same page with everything and some of my favorite memories are us just driving around Maui in our rental car, blasting the "Moana" soundtrack, and thinking "dang, I really have someone special here with me."

Question
