Zerian and Alexis have known each other since kindergarten at Northeast Lauderdale Elementary School. As children, we barely spoke—unless it was to argue—but life had a beautiful way of rewriting our story. After graduating high school together, we went our separate ways, unaware that God was quietly preparing our hearts for the right moment. Years later, a simple Snapchat story became the spark that brought us back together. I noticed someone who looked just like Zerian’s twin and sent him the photo. We laughed, reminisced, and in that small moment, a door reopened. That same day, he asked for my number—and from that moment on, we talked every day. What started as conversation quickly grew into something deeper, and before we knew it, love had found us. Our love story reached its greatest blessing when we welcomed our beautiful son, Marley, into the world on October 1, 2017. What began in childhood and blossomed in God’s perfect timing became a love that changed our lives forever.
