Day trip to Milan! I am organizing this as a way for us all to experience Milan. We will likely have lunch/brunch and dinner in the city. I am planning on doing lots of shopping but everyone will be free to roam on their own throughout the day. For the non-shoppers, Milan is a beautiful city and there are lots of other things to do as well. We will plan on taking one of the first trains in the AM from Florence to Milan and one of the latest trains in the evening from Milan to Florence. The train ride is between 1.5 hours and 2 hours. This requires advance booking so train tickets and ground transportation in Milan can be secured. The cost for this depends on the type of train ticket you prefer and what ground transportation we need in Milan.
