We met through mutual friends. I first saw Tristan in January 2014 at Pizza Bella. I noticed his beautiful blue eyes and may have told my dad about the cute pizza boy later that night. Six months later, a few friends and I had a high school graduation party. Tristan was invited by a mutual friend. Tristan and I officially met when I walked up on a conversation between him and my dad, and my dad said "Oh! This is the pizza boy with the pretty eyes." Tristan took me out to dinner a few weeks after that.

Tristan and I both attended Texas A&M University. I was about to graduate with my Master's and had graduation pictures scheduled on campus. Tristan made a plan with the photographer and ended up proposing to me under the Century Tree. He pulled off the surprise so well that I was more speechless in that moment than in the entire 6 years he had known me. After the shock wore off and I picked my jaw up off the floor, I said "yes," of course!
