Is there a dress code?
Answer
Our celebration will be cocktail attire. We encourage guests to wear spring and summer colors to complement the season and the outdoor winery setting! Think "summer garden party."

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes! We have a room block reserved at The Origin Hotel, located in The Summit at Fritz Farm. Guests can book under the Mertz–Bryson Wedding Block using the link on the "Travel Accommodations" page to receive our group rate. We recommend reserving early, as rooms may fill quickly. (859) 245-0400
Question
I am from out of town...Where do I fly into? Do I need a rental car?
Answer
Guests should fly into the Lexington Bluegrass Airport (LEX). If you fly into LEX, it’s only 14 minutes from The Origin Hotel, where Alexis and Tate have a wedding block reserved, so a rental car is unnecessary unless you prefer not to use Uber or Lyft. Other options include flying into Cincinnati–Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) or Louisville Airport (SDF). Both are 70–80 miles away and require just under a 1.5-hour drive, so a rental car would be necessary. CVG and SDF typically offer more flight options, including some nonstop routes. Please book whatever option is most convenient for you!

Can I bring a date?

We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but our venue has limited space! If your invitation didn’t include a “plus one,” we hope you’ll still come ready to eat, drink, and dance with us. We’re so excited to spend the evening surrounded by the people who mean the most to us—thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. Our venue is a winery, and we want all our guests to be able to relax and enjoy the evening. Unless a child’s name was specifically included on your invitation, we kindly ask that you make arrangements for a kid-free night. This was the bride’s preference, and we truly appreciate your understanding and respect!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm. Please arrive by 4:30 pm at the latest to grab your seat!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
We won’t have a shuttle, but no worries! Uber and Lyft are readily available from the wedding block hotel to the venue. Of course, you’re also welcome to drive and self-park—there’s plenty of parking on-site.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes — there is plenty of parking available at the venue. Our venue has also confirmed that it’s perfectly fine to leave your vehicle overnight if needed. Your safety is important to us, so please feel free to plan accordingly.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Our RSVP form includes a question about food allergies and dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly. If you’ve already RSVP’d and forgot to mention your allergy, please reach out to Alexis or Tate as soon as possible so we can ensure your meal accommodates your needs.
