Almost time!

We met in highschool, where we shared a strength & conditioning class. Raul was always the student that actually took the workouts seriously (since the teacher was his football coach), and Alexis always hanging out & joking in the background telling the coach that Raul could lift more weights. One day, Alexis thought it would be hilarious to mess with Raul in the middle of a heavy squat. Alexis then aproaches Raul & says “Hey! Are you wearing space pants!?” - Raul looking puzzled & out of breath. Alexis continues & says “Because that ass is out of this WORLD!!!!” Needless to say, Raul dropped all his weights laughing. After that moment, we instantly became great friends throughout our highschool years. Even when Alexis went out of state for college, we always managed to meetup. We always found our way back to each other, laughing for hours whenever we hung out & enjoyed spontaneous adventures together. Secretly, Raul had feelings for Alexis long before becoming official, but Alexis had no idea. Then one day “click”. It was apparent that we truly cared for one another. As if somehow, we knew through life’s ups & downs that we were meant to be together. Our story continues to be written ❤️

Due to the pandemic, it was challenging to go on a date night. Our daughter, Alexy had just turned a year & we were cautious about going out into public spaces, but after months we decided to take a few hours for ourselves. Raul kept hinting at dinner where Alexis wanted to get married, but seemed anxious all evening. After dinner & drinks, Raul decided to take a “short cut” home. He pulled up by the high school & gym area where we first met all those years ago. He kept talking about the new additions at the school since he attended, which made Alexis so confused on why he was so interested in this topic. Then Rauls says “This is where it all started. This is where I met you & this is where I’m going to ask you to be my wife” (Obvious shock & tears of joy from Alexis) An immediate response was “Are you serious?” Multiple times - eventually she said YES!! ❤️
