It all began when Parker was a Fire Explorer at Duvall FD with Hunter and Duncan in 2014. The couple had briefly met and chatted a couple of times, but the true start of them began because of Parker and Brian becoming volunteer firefighters at Duvall FD. They started fire academy together fall of 2018. Parker and Brian became good friends; training, studying, grabbing coffee and working out together most days of the week then heading to academy together every Friday afternoon for the weekend 13 weeks in a row! Alexis was away at school but thought Parker was the cutest thing from afar. Alexis came home for the summer in 2019 and quickly joined Parker and Brian on their weekly Saturday hikes. On June 28th Parker and Alexis went on their first date and started dating on July 4th!

Parker and Alexis had been working on completing their Ellensburg Rodeo "Trail Maps" which consisted of visiting 8 local restaurants/bars and trying their special rodeo-themed menu items to be entered in to win some rodeo prizes! It was a Tuesday evening and they had planned to go check a couple of stops off their trail maps. Parker had sent Alexis an "Instagram Reel" with a truck bed date night the week before saying "I can't believe we haven't done one!" and Alexis was, of course, on board with doing one ASAP! They had decided they'd visit downtown early then head into the foothills for a fun truck bed date night with the pup, a charcuterie board, and some wine. They got up to the top and it was BEAUTIFUL so they took a couple of pictures on Parker's phone with the self-timer. The sun wasn't setting for about 45 minutes so they enjoyed the wine and snacks waiting for the colors to appear. As the sun started to set and the sky got more beautiful Parker asked if Alexis wanted to take another picture. He set up his phone, hit the 3-second timer and dropped down on one knee! Alexis was absolutely surprised and said she couldn't wait to spend forever with Parker!
