From the very beginning, their story was rooted in something deeper than chance. It was rooted in a shared love for Jehovah. They had formally met at the Hall, but it wasn’t until a lively game night filled with laughter, friendly competition, and one unforgettable cumbia dance that they truly began to notice each other. From then on, they found themselves taking every opportunity to go out dancing and to enjoy the company of mutual friends. For Alexis, it was a gradual spark. The more time they spent together, the more she realized something special was unfolding. "Whenever I heard Omar’s laughter, I would instinctively search for him in the crowd. His joy became my joy. His happiness made me so happy. In a room full of people, his light always drew me in, and I appreciated his genuine interest in others." For Omar, it was watching her heart in action. On three separate occasions, he saw her care for others in quiet but meaningful ways. "Her compassion, attentiveness, and willingness to give of herself in those moments solidified my desire to know her more deeply. I saw not just her smile, but her and I loved what I saw." The Couple: Our love grew not just through dancing and conversations, but through mutual respect, appreciation, and a deep devotion to Jehovah God. We found beauty in being our authentic selves, servants of Jehovah, striving to reflect his qualities in how we treat one another and those around us. To us, love means sacrifice. It means giving of ourselves freely. It means showing love through action, choosing patience, kindness, and understanding. It means loving one another as a whole and accepting each other completely. It means appreciating all that the other gives for your happiness and wanting, just as deeply, to give that same joy in return. As we look forward to marriage, we are excited to grow side by side spiritually, set goals, encourage one another, and keep Jehovah at the center of our lives. We dream of travel and adventure, of exploring new places while holding onto the same shared purpose. More than anything, we hope to be a positive and encouraging couple to our friends and family, displaying the kind of love that uplifts others simply by being genuine. Our story began with a dance, was strengthened by laughter, and is sustained by faith. And this is only the beginning. 🤍
