Things To Do
Columbian Park Zoo (open seasonally late April to early October - call for current hours)
This is a fantastic place for families and animal lovers. There should be lots of baby goats in the petting zoo at that time of year as well.
Harry's Chocolate Shop
A site of Purdue tradition and fun. It's no ordinary chocolate shop, this is one of the most famous bars around campus and is just down the street from the Purdue Memorial Union where the reception is being held.
Brothers Bar
One of our personal favorites. Order their special "blue long island iced tea" if you're feeling adventurous.
GQT Wabash Landing 9
A great theater within walking distance to the PMU and other hotels in West Lafayette by the Wabash river.
Purdue Bell Tower
Some of the coolest landmarks around Purdue stand next to the bell tower. I would suggest starting any sightseeing there.
Stone Lions Fountain
If the weather is nice there is a very fun Purdue tradition of running through all of the fountains on campus!
Engineering Fountain
This is by far one of the coolest fountains you will see and a great spot for kids to run around and play while parents relax.
Imagination Station
A fun interactive science museum in downtown Lafayette. Great for family fun.
Purdue Memorial Union
Name it and this building has it. There is a bowling alley in the basement, restaurants and coffee shops on the ground floor, historic information upstairs, a hotel, and is where the wedding reception will be held. Check the PMU website closer to the date and there may be some activities happening that you can attend.
