2005: pigtails & bows, long shorts & oversized collared shirts. This is where it all began. We were in the same class in second grade, and while my dad definitely wasn’t having any of the boyfriend talk, it wasn’t an issue—because Micheldon was too shy and way more into Nickelodeon than any girl, especially me. Fast forward to high school, and social media is taking over. Micheldon and Alexis start following each other on every platform. Micheldon tries to shoot his shot, but Alexis kindly friendzones him. No hard feelings though, they stay friends. Micheldon even tells his dad, "I'm talking to a girl at Laney," but Alexis has no memory of this so-called talking stage. That is, until 2021—Alexis graduates college and moves back home. She posts a boomerang, and BOOM, Micheldon slides into her DMs to try once more. This time, it worked. AND THE CROWD GOES WILD! After a few weeks of texting, they go on a date to Chop House—still “just friends,” or so they thought. They both refer to this date as the best first date ever. After that, things got real. They started spending more and more time together, and both knew they were in it for the long haul when Alexis met Arthur and Micheldon met Gladys. With the approval of these two very important figures, the deal was sealed! On March 14, Micheldon made the BEST decision of his life and asked Alexis to marry him.
