Maid of Honor
We’ve been best friends since 7th grade, and honestly, she’s more like family than anything else. Over the past 10 (almost 11!) years, we’ve grown up together, celebrated wins, survived life’s messes, and made so many memories along the way. We’ve done it all. Inside jokes in PE, rushing home before her midnight curfew, running from the movies to the mall or Zaxby’s every weekend, and of course all those random parties on the weekends. There’s never a dull moment with her. She’s always been my shoulder to cry on, my rock, my biggest cheerleader, and my support in literally everything. And even if the only plan for the night was grabbing ice cream and talking in the car, she’s always down. Amaya goes above and beyond for me in ways I can’t even put into words, and I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done and continues to do. I’m so proud of her and seeing her truly happy and winning at life is something I’ll always be rooting for. She’s also a licensed cosmetologist and has this amazing gift for making people feel confident and seen — whether it’s through hair, glam, or just hyping you up when you need it most. There’s truly no one else I’d want standing beside me on my wedding day. Amaya has been part of my story for over a decade, and I can’t imagine starting this next chapter without her right by my side.
Bridesmaid
Lakyhia and I met in the most random way — at a pool party in 3rd grade. We were just kids, having fun, not knowing that we were meeting someone who would be in our lives for the long run. But it wasn’t until band class in 2016 that we really locked in and became family for real. From that point on, she’s been my person. And when I say she’s never left my side, I mean that. Through every phase — the awkward years, the growth, the mistakes, the wins, the leveling up — she’s been there. She’s my ride or die in every sense. The kind of friend who doesn’t just say she’s got you… she actually does. Lakyhia is one of the most talented and knowledgeable people I know. She can pick up on things quickly, she’s smart in ways that go beyond books, and she always has insight when I need it. If I need advice, a second opinion, or someone to be honest with me, she’s one of my first calls. But what really makes her special is her loyalty and her heart. She loves hard. She protects her people. And she shows up — every time. From a random pool party in elementary school to standing beside me on my wedding day… that’s full circle. And I wouldn’t want to do this without her right next to me.
Bridesmaid
Mya came into my life a little later than everyone else, but from the start, I just had a feeling about her. You know when you meet someone and you instantly think, “Yeah… she’s going to be in my life for a long time”? That was Mya. She’s one of those people who really knows who she is. She’s smart, educated, and driven and when she decides she wants something, she goes after it. No hesitation. No doubt. I’ve always admired how confidently she moves and how she refuses to settle for anything less than what she deserves. But beyond all of that, she just has the sweetest heart. Mya is genuinely kind. She checks on you. She listens. She cares. And her energy? It’s unmatched. She’s high-spirited, a little extra in the best way, and always overly enthusiastic about everything — and I love that about her. It’s truly never a dull moment with her. Being around her automatically lifts my mood. She brings light into my life. She brings laughter. She brings joy. Even though she joined my story later, it feels like she’s always supposed to have been here. And I’m so grateful she’ll be standing beside me on one of the biggest days of my life.
Bridesmaid
Scarlett has always been my person. No matter what’s going on, she’s one call away and I mean that literally. Whether I need advice, need to vent, or just need someone to sit on the phone with me while I process life, she’s there. And she never makes me feel like I’m “too much.” She listens to my problems over and over again and somehow never gets tired of it. She’s taught me so much over the years. Sometimes it’s big life lessons, sometimes it’s just a different way of looking at things, but she always helps me grow. If I ever need real advice, I already know she’s going to give it to me honestly and with love. What I love about us is how we can be so alike and so different at the same time. We share so many of the same interests and can talk about certain things forever; but we can also be complete opposites. And somehow that’s what makes our friendship work so well. We’ve been making memories together since 7th grade band class. From those early days… to marching band in 10th grade… to figuring out college life together… and now stepping into adulthood — we’ve truly grown side by side. We’ve seen each other at our best, at our worst, and everywhere in between. Scarlett isn’t just my friend, but she's a sister. She’s been part of my journey for so many important chapters. And having her stand next to me on my wedding day just feels right.

My amazing sister Kelly has been with me literally since the beginning. She’s not just my sister, she’s my biggest supporter, my motivator, and honestly, sometimes my mom too. I turn to her for guidance, stability, and comfort, and she’s always there. She’s helped raise me in so many ways and has never hesitated to step in and provide whenever I’ve needed her. Kelly is seriously talented. She can do anything she sets her mind to. From hair and makeup to crafts, treats, and even making beautiful gift baskets. I swear, there’s nothing she can’t do, and it opens up so many opportunities for her. I’m beyond proud of her. Sure, we fight sometimes, like most sisters do, but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. She’s my everything and more, and I honestly can’t imagine walking into this next chapter of my life without her by my side.
Best Man
Montell isn’t just my brother, he’s my twin. From the very beginning, we’ve shared this life together. Same blood, same roots, same starting point. There’s something unspoken about a twin bond, it’s deeper than friendship and stronger than circumstance. Like any brothers, we’ve had our seasons. There were times when we weren’t as close as we could’ve been. But through growth, healing, and maturity, we made the intentional choice to rebuild and strengthen our relationship. What we have now isn’t just because we’re related, it’s because we put in the work. We’ve navigated life side by side. Long nights completing assignments, pushing each other to stay focused, giving advice when one of us needed perspective, and yes, even helping each other survive a test or two back in the day. We’ve grown together not just as brothers, but as men. He’s always by my side, just like I’m always by his. When one of us faces something difficult, the other steps up. That loyalty is natural. It’s automatic. It’s built in. We started this life together, and it only feels right that he stands beside me as I step into this next chapter. No matter where life takes us, that’s my brother. My twin. My forever built in best friend. And there’s no one else I’d rather have standing next to me as my Best Man on one of the biggest days of my life.
Groomsman
I met Kentavious in kindergarten, and from that moment on, we’ve been locked in. We’ve grown up side by side through every stage of life. He’s one of the funniest people I know whether he’s crashing out during UNO, struggling to get that GTA record above 1.00, or passionately explaining why he hates his job. He doesn’t take much too seriously, and that energy keeps life light. But when it counts, he’s solid. He’s there 25/8. Through every season, every challenge, every win, he’s been consistent. That’s my day one. That’s my brother.
Groomsman
First things first, yes, he’s tall. Very tall. You’ll see him before you see the rest of us. Jay and I met during school while we were both majoring in Computer Science. That degree tested us in more ways than one, and we both had our struggles navigating it. Somewhere between late-night studying, frustration, and figuring things out, we built a real friendship. What made it even stronger was becoming friends at work too. We’ve always been able to lean on each other, giving advice, pushing one another, and staying motivated through the hard moments. Over time, that consistency turned into something deeper than friendship. He’s dependable, solid, and someone I consider a true brother.
Groomsman
Daishon and I go all the way back to middle school, which means he’s seen every phase, every bad haircut, and every version of me. If you know him, you know he loves to talk, and I mean loves to talk. But that’s part of what makes him him. Whether we’re gaming, joking around, or just figuring out what we’re doing for the day, he’s always down. He’s dependable, always shows up when it’s time to hang out, and has been a steady presence in my life for years. That’s not just a longtime friend, that’s my brother.
Groomsman
I met James online through a video game, but what started as random matchmaking turned into real-life brotherhood. Over time, he became one of the most reliable and genuine people in my life, the kind of friend you can talk about anything with and just kick back and have real conversations. He was there for me during one of my darkest seasons. Even when I stepped away from social media and stopped playing the game for a long time, he never stepped away from me. That loyalty means more than I can put into words. At this point, he’s not just my friend, he’s family. All my friends love him and officially consider him part of the cookout. He’s truly one of the best friends a guy could ever ask for, and I’m proud to call him my brother.
