We ate here for the lunch the day we signed our wedding contract! They had the best empanadas and margaritas. They play great Spanish music too.
If you've made your way to old town Scottsdale, you have to get a drink at this place. This was one of the places we stopped at on Marcel's 26th birthday. They have super fun cups and everything on the menu was delicious.
Old Town Scottsdale is one of our favorite places to hang out. It's super close to the shopping mall and you can walk around to different shops and restaurants. We recommend coming here if you want to shop, eat and walk around.
This is hands down one of the best pizza chains we have discovered in Arizona. It reminds Alexis of the pizza in New Jersey and you can get it by the slice! Highly recommend.
This is one of our FAVORITE taco places. It's hard to find a bad taco place in this area but this place is especially good. Their homemade salsas are the perfect amount of spicy and they have a big menu. The mango margaritas are top tier, you can tell the mango puree is fresh.
Whataburger is the first place we ate at when Alexis moved to Arizona. We had just finished unloading the U-Haul, in the rain, at 11 PM. It was the closest place that was still open. That was the day we discovered their spicy ketchup and now we always keep that in our fridge.
This is a new shopping center that was just built at the Chandler mall. They have so much stuff to do and look at it there, it feels like there's stores within stores.
One of our favorite things about Arizona is being able to see the mountains. South mountain was the first mountain we ever went to together. You can either stay in your car and enjoy the views all the way to the tippy top, or you can park at one of the view points and get out and hike up a little bit. If you plan on going all the way to top, make sure you have plenty of day light because it's not fun driving down the mountain in the dark. The views here are absolutely gorgeous.
Mill Ave in downtown Tempe is another one of our favorite hangout spots. We come here with our friends often and it's never a boring night. We recommend the salt 'n pepper wings from Loco Patron and the bucket drinks and French fries at CASA. There is also a fun pool hall and places to shop.
You may have heard of Dutch Bros..but the coffee place you NEED to try is Blackrock. We found this place one day while we were out running errands, finding the rest the stuff we needed for our first apartment. Ever since then, this has been the #1 choice for coffee. Alexis recommends the "iced blonde."
This rooftop bar is also a rooftop pool at Hotel Palomar. We love coming here for the views and it's right in the center of Downtown Phoenix. There's public access by going up the stairs and leads you right into the bar.
