*PLEASE READ* Dear Family and Friends, We have made the difficult decision to cancel our large wedding. With this, we are still getting married on May 23; however, due to COVID-19, our guest list is much smaller. To those who can no longer come: We are so incredibly sorry that we cannot celebrate with you on our big day. Please know that we will miss you tremendously and this was not an easy decision to make. To those invited to our intimate celebration: Please seek the "Wells Wedding -COVID-19 Edition-" Facebook group for updates regarding our wedding. Also, please still RSVP via this website or swelltobewells@gmail.com Thank you for your love and support through this difficult process! Love, Luke and Lexi
We met at the good ol' Haven Middle School gym in P.E class. It was in that class that I came up with the courage to ask her to my first ever dance. We were both super excited for that evening and I danced with locked arms, essentially holding Lexi as far away from me as possible. (I think she knew I was the one right at that moment). Things were never too serious back in the day, but as the years went on we became inseparable. Now we could not imagine forever without each other, despite those awkward middle school years.
Luke had decided to take me on what I thought was a normal date. It was spring break, and we went to Avivo (a local pizzeria in Maize). Avivo is also where we went for Valentines Day on our first date when we were fourteen. Anyways, after a wonderful meal, our waiter brought out "complementary" dessert, which, low and behold had the ring on it. Luke got on one knee, said some sweet words, and I said "YES!" We are so excited to celebrate this chapter in our lives with you. See you in Hutch!
