Anna Scifres

Maid of Honor

August 9th, 2011 - the first day of school and the first time I met my best friend, Lexi Stewart. Now, almost 14 years later, I had the incredible privilege of saying yes to being Lexi's Maid of Honor for her marriage to Lucas. In all of our years together, I have never met anyone who perfectly complements Lexi the way Lucas does and vice versa. It has been a pleasure watching their relationship grow with them and I can't wait to stand next to them as they take this next step in life!

Daniel Banks

Best Man

Lucas is my little brother, someone I’ve been lucky to know for almost 25 years. I vividly remember meeting him as a three-year-old toddler, small enough to pick up, and it’s been such a joy to watch him grow into the incredible man he is today. I couldn’t be more proud of the person he’s become. I’m honored to stand by his side on his wedding day and celebrate this exciting new chapter with him and Lexi.

Lauren Barry

Bridesmaid

I met Lexi in the 6th grade. From preteens, to teenagers, to young women I am blessed to know a friend as loyal and supportive as Lexi. As I sit and think of our friendship and all we have been through together, I am reminded of just how much I love, respect, and cherish her. Our after school bus rides, sleepovers in the man cave, and many trips to Waffle House will forever hold a special place in my heart but it is time for the next chapter in life. I am grateful for the opportunity to stand next to her on her big day and I wish the couple nothing but happiness on their journey through life together.

Ian Bache

Groomsman

Lucas and I had the pleasure of having the same legal writing class our 1L year. Lucas is known for his generous heart, easygoing nature, and genuine ability to connect with anyone he meets. Whatever the topic of conversation, he’s always ready. Affectionately nicknamed “Big Drip” by his friends, Lucas is also recognized for having the smoothest fadeaway shot at the SRC—a true legend on and off the court.

Hannah Goff

Honorary Bridesmaid

Lexi and I became fast friends in high school while participating in Greenwood FFA. She is the ying to my yang. Where Lexi needed to loosen up, I was there. And when I needed a dose of seriousness, she had me. While those roles reversed every once in a while, we were inseparable for most of high school. Since then, we have been lucky enough to see each other through college, moving away with lots of visits, and even getting married myself-with Lexi by my side. Now it’s my turn to be at her side and I could not be happier she found forever in Lucas. There is no one I would rather see take care of my best friend. (Not that she needs taking care of…😉) I wish them both a lifetime of the happiness I know they bring to each other. Y’all deserve it.

Groomsman

I met Lucas a couple years ago as just Lexi’s boyfriend and now have the honor of calling him one of my closest friends. We connected through our mutual love/ frustration with fantasy football, video games, and being there to talk to each other when Anna and Lexi decide that they need some girl time. Due to Bowling Green’s small-ish town vibes I also attended high school with Lexi and have loved the full circle moments that dating Anna and befriending her bestie have given me in this life. I am proud to be friends with Lexi & Lucas, and cannot wait to continue to witness the loving relationship that they both so visibly share.

Isabella Gomez

Bridesmaid

I met Lexi during a time of absolute chaos in my life. I was pregnant, and even though we were the same age, it felt like we were living in two totally different eras of our teens. 🫢 When I say opposites attract I don’t mean in a relationship, I mean in a friendship. But somehow, the universe placed the most precious soul right in front of me. Lexi is one of those once-in-a-lifetime kind of women — special not just to me, but to everyone lucky enough to call her a friend. From helping me plan my wedding, to barn chores, Spyder rides, Sonic parking lot therapy sessions, and even making Lucas move out of our shared couch spot — every single moment has meant something. I’ll forever be thankful to be a small part of her and Lucas’s story.

Groomsman

I still remember the first time I met Lucas. It was at law school orientation, and this random guy just sat next to me and said, "Hey." With both of us being naturally chatty, that simple greeting was all it took to spark a friendship that’s lasted ever since. From that day forward, we’ve stuck together through the highs and lows of law school—forming study groups, making new friends, playing basketball, hosting poker nights, watching football, grabbing a beer, and everything in between. Through it all, he’s become more than just a friend; he’s a brother. And I’m beyond honored to stand by his side on this special day.

Bridesmaid

It was July of 2020 when I moved to Lexington for school and when I had the pleasure to meet one of my very good friends Lexi. The few years we had together in Lexington were some of the best years of my life. To this day Lexi and I still keep in touch, and now that her and Luke have moved to Louisville, we are closer to one another as I live in Frankfort! Lexi is one of the girls I can tell anything to or talk about anything with, she has been there for me for some of the hardest things I have ever been through. Since knowing Luke, Lexi has been the happiest I have ever seen her. I can't think of a more deserving man to marry my dear friend. Lexi and Luke, I cant wait to see all the things you are able to accomplish together, and wish you a lifetime of happiness. Now let’s get you married!

Clayton Nevitt

Groomsman

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Lucas since the beginning of law school and he’s always been someone you can count on. He brings a steady, dependable presence to any situation and approaches things with a calm, thoughtful attitude. Whether it’s coordinating plans, helping others, or simply staying consistent when things get busy, Lucas handles it all with reliability and respect. He’s the kind of person who leads by example, and it’s been a privilege to call him a friend. I’m honored to stand with him today in celebration of this important milestone.

Abigail Roy

Bridesmaid

Lexi and I were introduced to each other about six years ago through Anna, and our friendship quickly blossomed. Within a few months, we became roommates, and over the years, our bond has continued to deepen. We have supported each other through the highs and lows that life has brought our way. I am so proud of Lexi and excited to see what the next chapter holds for both her and Lucas (as well as for Miss Rosie and Honey)!

Hayden Sims

Groomsman

Lucas and I met in a moment that can only be described as unforgettable—during our first year of law school, in the library. Since that fateful encounter, we’ve become close friends, bonding over long days in class, pickup basketball games, and plenty of laughs with our circle of friends. It’s been a privilege to watch him grow, and I’m honored to stand by his side on one of the biggest days of his life.

Chelsea Smither

Bridesmaid

It was August 2018, I was walking to sorority rush, and 2 girls I barely knew from down the hall stopped the car and told me to get in. Lexi was one of those girls and I've never been more thankful for a ride from strangers. Our friendship grew fast and for 4 years you typically found one with the other. I could go on forever with memories so I'll just name a few. Nights on Barberry, humane society trips, midnight therapy drives, shared birthday parties, and walks home to "Wedgewood" will forever be my favorites. No matter the reason, Lexi is a friend you can always call and I'm beyond thankful to have her in my life. Thank you for being you, Lucas - the sky will most definitely always be blue, but I'm glad you're not the reason. Here's to a lifetime of love and happiness. I'm honored to be a piece of their story.

Caitlin Warren

Bridesmaid

From the moment we met in middle school through our good friend Anna, Lexi has been my rock, my sister, and one of the biggest reasons I am who I am today. Through every late-night car ride, every spontaneous adventure, and every high and low in between, she’s been the friend who never wavered. I truly can’t imagine my life without her, and now I get the absolute honor of standing by her side as she steps into this beautiful new chapter. Lexi, you deserve the world, and I can’t wait to celebrate this next adventure with you! Love you forever!

Emma Wells

Bridesmaid

Lexi and I reconnected during the summer of 2019. Since then we have created countless memories together. Our spontaneous adventures, late night drives, and concerts will always hold a special place in my heart. Lexi has truly been there for me through many highs and lows. I am incredibly honored that now 6 years later, I get to watch her marry Lucas. They compliment each other so well and their happiness radiates!

Maegan Winstead

Bridesmaid

Lexi and I met in high school through FFA and during our first conversation, I asked her if she would be my roommate our freshman year of college. That might be one of the best decisions I ever made. Since then she has become my confidante and the person I turn to for everything! A fun fact is Lexi was actually the officiant at my wedding after she got ordained while we were in college on a whim. It’s an honor to be beside her on this new journey as she becomes Mrs. Smith!

Tabi Willgruber

Bridesmaid

Lexi and I first met when I moved here, and it didn’t take long for things to get memorable. The very first time I came over, Ping decided to trip me going up the stairs — and I ended up spilling my Coke all over her white carpet. (RIP Ping) But she started laughing, I was mortified but from that chaotic little moment, I knew we’d be besties for life. Through everything — the highs, the lows, the messy and the magical — we’ve always been by each other’s side. I couldn’t ask for a better friend in this life, and I’m beyond honored to be a part of such a special day for someone who means the world to me.

Nathaniel Messer

Officiant

Lexi and I met our freshman year at UK. We were in the same major and lived in the same dorm. We quickly became friends and the rest is history. Through all the fun times and the late nights in Penmoken, we have always had each other’s backs. I am so excited to be a part of their special day celebrating an eternity of love.
