Kyle and Alexis went on their first date in June 2020 at Rainbow Bridge in Folsom, California. Kyle had been visiting that spot for years with his friends to cliff jump into the lake below. After a few hours of chatting and exploring the area, Kyle and Alexis jumped off the cliff together. This was an unforgettable memory for both of them. They planned their second date for the very next day.

Only 6 months after Kyle and Alexis met, Kyle got the news that he needed to move to North Carolina with his family. Although this came as a shock to the new couple, they were determined to make their relationship work no matter the distance. Kyle and Alexis persevered through a long-distance relationship for the next year and a half while Alexis finished her Cognitive Neuroscience degree at the University of California, Davis. One week after completing her degree, Alexis packed her belongings and headed to the East Coast. The newly reunited couple then moved into their first apartment together in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

Kyle and Alexis moved to St. Augustine, Florida in June of 2024. Alexis completed an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and is now working as a pediatric ICU nurse. Kyle is working as a commercial plumbing project manager, renovating hotels and apartments across the country. Kyle and Alexis purchased their first house in March 2025, where they now live with their two cats, Sushi and Benihana.
