Sometimes love begins in the simplest way. For Lexi and Jon, it all started with a Snapchat story in the summer of 2023. Jon, home on leave from the Army, posted from the small town of Clontarf, Minnesota. When Lexi replied, he thought he was chatting with a friend—until he realized it was Lexi Wolf. A few days later, Jon showed up at her house in Canby and cooked her supper for their first date. The next day turned into a lake day with friends, and soon their days together stretched into the rest of Jon’s two-week leave. When he returned to El Paso, they continued their love story long-distance—two hearts connected across 26 hours. In April 2025, Jon finished active duty and moved back to Minnesota, where he and Lexi began closing the distance to just two hours apart. Over the years, they’ve shared countless adventures—traveling to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Vegas, Switzerland, Oregon, Washington, Detroit, New Mexico, Texas, and Florida. Whether near or far, they’ve built a life full of laughter, adventures, and love. On February 1st, 2025 a year and seven months after their first date (fitting for Jon’s favorite number, seven), Jon planned a proposal filled with surprises. After Lexi spent the day at his sister’s baby shower, she was whisked away for a private supper prepared by Jon’s mom. Waiting outside was a photographer and their family as Jon dropped to one knee. To top off the night, their closest friends joined in the celebration. Now, they look forward to their greatest adventure yet—marriage.
