Facebook...yes really! Like every other traditional relationship ours started with a period of courtship; profile visits, shared posts, and daily exchanges in messenger. We were just friends then...each other's daily inspiration. Those daily interactions relieved the pressure and anticipation of a potential date or rejection. We actually got to know each other...eventually those messages turned to phone calls and conversations that lasted for hours. When we finally met (face-to-face) we knew...it was love at first sight. Those months we spent talking, laughing, and even crying...were the beginning to our Forever!

I didn't know it then, but John had been preparing me for the proposal all day. Waking up to him professing his love for me, asking if I understood how much he truly, appreciated, and adored me. And as if he didn't know, he asked if I felt the same way...of course I did. My feelings for him are just, as strong as, his are for me. We've shared many trials and tribulations, experienced loss, and tests many couples would not have survived. So when he playfully slid up to me on bended knee, I giggled waiting for the tickles that were sure to come, instead he said "would you marry me, if I didn't have a ring" to which I replied "yes, but I would expect a really big one later on.'' Suddenly and to my surprise John produced a box from his pocket and asked "will this one do?" Without hesitation I said "yes," simultaneously I covered my mouth and face and let the tears of joy fall. We cannot wait to share the next chapter of our lives with you...we look forward to celebrating our special day with family, friends, and God!
