We are getting married!

Interestingly, these two love birds crossed paths in middle school and probably elementary, but didn’t become friends until high school. While in band, Jett thought Alexis was oh-so PRETTY and asked her out on a date. Picture this: it’s July 28th, 2018. Jaycee Beach. It’s summer in FL heat. Jett wants to impress Alexis by taking her to a hidden beach trail. But it was so hidden that they never found it. Good first impression, Jett. Alexis gives him more chances to redeem himself. So they go on more dates where things went even smoother… Jett spills his drink everywhere, “forgets” to pay for her bill, and even loses his car keys… in the beach sand… at night. His silly plan must’ve worked though because on September 1st, 2018, Jett asks Alexis to be his girlfriend. Before he could get a response, she kissed him! Making things awkward, but the rest is history. They end up making many fond high school memories together. Like beach days and getting to know each other’s friends (featuring the wedding party you see here today). Going on their first vacation to LONDON!... on a band trip to perform a parade for the QUEEN! (lowkey). And going to Prom in a rad limo! Unfortunately, high school doesn’t last forever and Jett graduates in May 2019. He enrolls at Indian River State College and starts working at Saigon Sushi to get the in-laws on his good side (Alexis’ family restaurant). You’re committed if you’re still reading (like Jett and Alexis are to each other), so get some popcorn. For Jett’s graduation gift, they take a second vacation to THAILAND! Jett gets thrown into Alexis' culture and meets A LOT of her family… and at this point they hadn’t even been dating for a year yet! This trip must’ve meant something to Jett though because he ends up buying Alexis a promise ring and offers it to her in front of the prettiest sunrise in the mountains. She of course happily accepts it. Young love, am I right? COVID strikes in March 2020 and Saigon Sushi lets Jett go. He follows in his father’s footsteps and starts cabinetry! Alexis on the other hand graduates high school in a mask and she gets accepted to Florida State University (WOO GOO NOLES!)!!! Alexis then moves to Tallahassee — separating herself from Jett. This is a transition point because in 2021, Jett decides to follow Alexis and enrolls at FSU for History. They move into a dingy house with a few friends — and even though they’re living in a trap house, it becomes known for throwing the best parties, hosting pre-games for football, and just being the spot for not-so-sober game nights (Alexis is a social butterfly). In the next few years, they create more memories together. They make new friends, explore FL beaches, attend concerts and festivals, and even camp in snow during Spring Break! Life is pretty good and they are living the college life as college kids do.

Fast forward to May 2023. They take a vacation to Europe and when they return home, Jett gets promoted to become a cabinet engineer! But there’s a catch. He has to commit to staying in Tallahassee for FOUR more years. This puts a wrench in Alexis’ plans to go back to Vero! But anything for love I guess… By the end of the year, she graduates with Summa Cum Laude (shameless plug) and she now has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. Since she’s stuck in Tallahassee for a few more years, she applies for the Master’s program. In 2024, some tornadoes decide to throw trees down on the cars, homes and streets they live on (not an exaggeration), so they say goodbye to their crack house. Jett is still juggling work and school and Alexis starts working at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Later that year, Alexis graduates with her Master’s in Criminology and coincidentally has to leave for a work conference the same weekend. Jett uses this to his advantage and crafts an evil plan… Two months later it’s February 22nd, 2025 and they are at a beautiful garden. Jett stops Alexis and they chat by the reflection pond. Then, he gets down on one knee and pops the question! They are both crying and hugging and immediately start planning a wedding that they’re expecting YOU to be at! 2025 is the year of wedding planning! Every girl’s dream, right? Alexis starts booking the venue, catering, photography and Jett? Sitting and looking pretty (Just kidding, he actually builds wedding decor, so you better compliment his projects)! These two decide to add even more to the mix because they make another trip to Thailand. While in Thailand, they have a beautiful religious ceremony where they celebrate their union alongside Alexis’ family. When they return to America, they want even more excitement and decide to become homeowners! Jeez, can you guys chill? They don’t listen to me though because they move into a lovely home that sits right on a pond. After a year of planning, going on vacation, and buying a home, these two are in debt… want to help ‘em out? Check out the Wedding Registry! Please I beg of you… Well, you’re up to speed as it’s 2026 and these two are DEEP in wedding planning. If you’re at this wedding in May, don’t forget to congratulate Jett! Not because he is the luckiest man ever to marry such an amazing, patient, beautiful woman, but because he graduates from FSU a WEEK before the wedding! Their future kids better be Seminoles or there will be some problems. FUTURE kids. NOT ANYTIME SOON, Grandma. If you’ve read all of this, you are amazing.
