Alexis and I met at 11 years old, but it wasn't until after high school that our bond truly blossomed into something deeper-something sacred. We became inseparable, not just friends, but chosen sisters. We've laughed until we cried, held each other through storms, celebrated wins big and small, and grown side by side into the women we are today. Being by her side as she walks into this next beautiful chapter is the greatest honor. I've seen her heart, her strength, her kindness, and her loyalty-and now, I get to witness her love story unfold. She deserves every ounce of happiness, and I know she's found a partner who truly cherishes her the way she deserves. Where do I even start… We’ve literally been best friends since her birth. Soon as I realized my mom was pregnant I started wishing for a sister, but little did I know I would be getting much more like an actual built in bestie for life! I’ve seen all of her heartbreaks and have kept her closest secrets, she’s seen my worst days and have given the best advice ever. She’s truly that one person I know I can tell any and everything too and it will always stay between us. I’m super proud of the woman she has grown into because I’ve had first class seats to it all. While we don’t see each other as often as I wish, you’ve been a part of my life almost as long as I’ve been adult and every memory of my brother has you in it. Relationships are hard, but you bring out the best in each other and that is all I ever wished for from whomever he chose to spend his life with. Coming to this country as an immigrant was a very tough start here in America….. but luckily life brought this incredible big brother friendship into my life. When I was 15 I was introduced to Jc by a really close friend of ours. Even though there was an age gap, we clicked like we were blood. Ever since then, we have created so many meaningful memories like going from rags to riches. But the most important facts that makes him who he is for me is his loyalty, perseverance and dedication to a happy and healthy life. I met Jean Carlos back in 2010 after moving from Haiti, and despite the old saying that Haitians and Dominicans don’t always mix, we proved otherwise. From the moment we connected, we built a friendship that carried us through high school and has only grown stronger over the past 15 years.
