It all started at Texas A&M University. Lexi was in ZTA, and Jadon was in BYX. That year, our organizations were paired together for Songfest, a fun and meaningful event where students perform to raise money for nonprofits. We became fast friends, and ended up hanging in groups as we headed to practices and performances for songfest. At the time, we had no idea something so much bigger was beginning. Right before Christmas break, we kept running into each other over and over again in the most unexpected places – Gas Stations, HEB, Concerts, Harry’s and Aggie Nations. It became clear it couldn’t just be coincidence. It had to be God. He was gently and purposefully weaving our lives together. Then came Lexi’s subtle “first move” during Christmas break. A sweet birthday DM to Jadon after she saw him repost a picture of his cute family. Just a simple gesture, but it meant a lot. Then Jadon and Lexi talked on DM’s for a day. The day they got back from break, Lexi walked out of HEB to see Jadon roll his window down to talk to her. Both surprised to keep running into each other, but on the inside were so happy. Eventually, Jadon sent a text that made Lexi smile: “We should run into each other more often.” Not long after, he asked her on a date, and from that point on, everything just clicked. On June 2nd, during a beautiful trip to Greece, Jadon got down on one knee and proposed. He has waited for this moment for a long time and how he was excited to make Lexi his wife. It was the sweetest surprise, and Lexi said yes. It was truly perfect. Now, we’re so excited to say “I do,” celebrate with all of you, and begin a marriage built on faith, joy, and God’s perfect timing. All glory to God forever & ever!!!
