This is one of Jake’s favorite stories to tell people. I was actually out with my husband at the time and some friends of ours when we decided to go out to eat at BoomBozz where Jake ended up being our server. We all hit it off instantly and Jake and I developed a genuine friendship out of it. For unrelated reasons my ex and I finally split and my story with Jake began not long after that!

He took me out to eat to BoomBozz (planned of course) and asked me what the date of the upcoming concert event we had was. When my answer was still about 2 weeks away, his response was “I can’t wait that long. Will you be my girlfriend?”

We were actively in the process of moving out of my mom’s and into our own apartment. We had just gotten to the apartment to unload everything and everyone who had volunteered to help was able to all finally meet up with us. He gathered everyone around, took my hand, looked me in the eyes as he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him.
