We met in our freshman year of high school! We wrote letters to each other everyday and began dating after being friends for three months. And on September 17, 2012, our story began.

Alexis: I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Hector after dating a little over two years. Hector has always been kind, compassionate, and caring towards me. One memory that really solidified my decision was when he drew me a picture of us on our wedding day and said, “This will be us one day”. Hector: I always had a feeling she was the one for me, but the downfall of other high school relationships always had me slightly doubt it. Through every little fight, every big one and ridiculous one, we had always made sure that what we had was different from everybody. Every obstacle we overcame always made me more sure that nobody is more fit to be my wife than Alexis Knori-Torres.

In celebration of their 10 year aniversary, Hector and Alexis decided to Airbnb a cabin in Big Bear and invite close friends and family that have supported their relationships through all the good and all the bad. It was then Hector made the plans to ask Alexis to spend the rest of their lives together as one. He waited until the night of their aniversary to have all the close friends and family participate by leading Alexis down the dock to the pier of Big Bear Lake, holding lit candles where Hector was waiting and he asked her to marry him. She said yes!
