We met many, many years ago in a high-school band class. He played the saxophone and I played the clarinet. Strangely enough, we never talked (LOL) besides the occasional "Hi." Years later, we reconnected via Facebook, went out on a dinner date and found that we could not stop talking to one another. After dinner, we didn't want to leave, because we both felt like we had so much to say, but couldn't find the words. He took me out to see a movie, Gravity, which I was late for and he fell asleep in the theater. After the movie, we began to part ways, but before we could say Goodnight, he eased in and gave me a kiss. It was the sweetest kiss I've ever had. We locked eyes and just stared at one another for what seemed like hours. That moment blossomed into a relationship that has withstood the test of time. As it flourished, it has produced such bountiful fruit. Oh how sweet it is! Thinking back on that moment we shared, it became clear, that was the first day of the rest of our lives.
