We’re getting married!

When the El Paso USO gave free tickets to a UTEP football game to the soldiers at Fort Bliss they made a grave mistake. Gary’s Brigade Combat Team had orders for the Middle East and they were living up those last few weeks before leaving. In true soldierly fashion they tailgated and drank copious amounts of alcohol before the game. Once the game started the Scout Platoon of 1-6 Infantry were shouting and cheering so loud with the cheerleaders (one of which was Alexis) that they didn’t pay much attention to the actual game itself and the police came to congratulate them on how well they cheered but reminded them to let the cheerleaders (Alexis) do their job. This is where Alexis and Gary first laid eyes on each other and it was love at first sight. They then downloaded a dating app and started talking about the almost missed connection at that football game. This lasted till Gary returned home from overseas and Alexis was there waiting for him at his welcome home ceremony.
