We met our freshman year of high school in Spanish class, seated right next to each other. What started as a quiet friendship stayed just that for years; simple conversations, shared laughs, and an easy comfort that never felt forced. Senior year brought one of our favorite memories: Gabe asked me to marry him for a Christian lifestyle choices wedding project. He planned the entire wedding himself, so it feels only right that this time around, the real wedding planning is my turn. When college came, life took us to different places, but somehow we always found our way back to each other. We checked in once a month, then once a week, and before we knew it, we were talking every day. Somewhere along the way, we went from friends to best friends without even realizing it. We stayed best friends until quarantine, when everything slowed down enough for us to realize there might be something more than friendship between us. We waited until the world opened back up to take that next step, choosing patience and intention as we began dating. After more than a year of long distance, we closed the distance when Gabe moved to Orlando. Life took us on a winding path, including time apart, but once again, we found our way back to each other. No matter where life led us, there always seemed to be an invisible string pulling us together. From assigned seats in Spanish class to choosing each other forever, our story has always been about timing, growth, and a love that never let go.
