Come Celebrate Our Marriage!

It all began February 2, 2013, which was our Sign On day for Oasis of the Seas. Filipe was the Sports Supervisor and Alexis was a diver in the aqua shows. Weeks on the ships went by (which usually feel like months) and Alexis and Filipe grew closer. They would get off in ports together, ride bikes to airport beach in Saint Maarten, and Paradise Beach in Cozumel, did night surfing on the Flow Rider, enjoyed theme parties, and cabin movie nights. With all of that excitement and adventure, the future between them was bound to be great!

On February 14, 2017, we decided to go skydiving in the country side of Brazil. On the way to the skydiving site, Filipe starts to chicken out and say he's too afraid to go skydiving, and was wondering if I would be upset if we didn't do it, and would prefer to do a hot air balloon ride instead. So plans changed, and once we got to cruising altitude in the hot air balloon, Filipe got down on one knee and proposed at 7:30am above the beautiful green fields of Brazil. Turns out that was planned all along!

After spending many years doing a long distance relationship, we decided we had enough of that and eloped in Vegas! We got married August 14, 2017, in the drive thru of a wedding chapel with family members surrounding us and even more watching on FaceTime. Afterwards we had champagne in the limo, danced on Fremont Street, drove along the Las Vegas Strip, and watched the fountain show at the Bellagio. It was such an amazing and memorable evening, and we can't wait to continue the fun of celebrating our marriage with all of you at our reception in Palm Springs!
