Devin and Alexis like to say their story didn't start off "normal." After exchanging messages on social media, they officially crossed paths at a local party in 2014. A few months later, thanks to a mutual friend, they met again- and this time, the friendship really stuck. Life took them slightly different directions with them both attending two different HBCUs, proving early on that a little distance couldn't compete with what they had. By the fall of 2015, they found their way back to each other, and this time it was clear- this wasn't just a friendship anymore. On June 13, 2016, they made it official. By the summer of 2017, both Devin and Alexis ended up back home in Columbia, SC closing the distance and opening a brand-new chapter. From there, they began building a life side by side- growing in love, supporting each other's dreams, and figuring out adulthood together (with plenty of laughs along the way). After years of love, patience and shared memories, Devin asked the easiest questions of his life on December 21, 2024 and Alexis said yes! Not ones to wait too long once they knew, the two made it official in their own special way, eloping on March 7, 2025. Now they're excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, and continuing a love story that's been years in the making.
