We actually first met way back in high school. It wasn’t the classic love-at-first-sight moment — more like an “oh hey, I know you” kind of acquaintance thing through mutual friends. Alexis was a freshman, Daniel was a junior, so we saw each other here and there but never really talked. After Daniel graduated, we mostly went our separate ways and only ran into each other occasionally. Then, randomly in 2015, we bumped into each other again at the park. Alexis was there to play tennis with a friend — they had rackets but figured they’d find some tennis balls lying around like usual. Nope, none to be found that day. Right then, Daniel showed up to play soccer with some friends. Alexis asked if he had any tennis balls in his car (spoiler: he didn’t), but instead, Daniel challenged her to a game of tennis. A week later, we met up again to play — and well, the rest is history. On August 22, 2015, Daniel asked Alexis to be his girlfriend. Over the past ten years, we’ve grown, laughed, and supported each other through all of life’s biggest moments. From college to starting our careers, traveling together, and all the little milestones in between — we’ve shared our entire 20s together, growing not only as individuals but as one. In June 2024, Daniel proposed in that very same park — right where he first asked Alexis to be his girlfriend. Now, we’re getting ready for the next chapter and can’t wait to celebrate with all the people who’ve been part of our journey.
