Our paths first crossed when we began pursuing our dreams of becoming attorneys. Despite not spending much time together during our first semester of Law School, we developed a mutual group of friends. While on winter break in December of 2016, we developed a relationship and almost instantly, we were inseparable. We enjoyed our first "date" at the Breakfast Club in Downtown Phoenix.

After months of spending time together, Cory and I visited Fountain Hills, Arizona, where Cory asked me to be his girlfriend. We spent the night walking around downtown Fountain Hills, eating a romantic dinner, and hanging out by the lake watching the stars.

After weeks of preparation and communicating with Lexi's family for the surprise after party, the day finally came — the day Lexi would hopefully agree to spend the rest of her life with me. My Best Man and one of my Groomsmen set up a walkway with roses pedals (six dozen roses) which led to a picnic basket with pink and red balloons, music to set the tone, champagne, and Lexi's favorite food (sushi). Long story short, SHE SAID YES! Our dogs were there to celebrate the moment, and after, our families gave Lexi a heart attack with an awesome surprise party.
