Why aren't you having a big wedding?

Answer

Chris and I never wanted a big wedding. We always hoped to plan an intimate destination wedding at one of the Caribbean Islands with our closest family and friends, but when covid hit around the time we got engaged it made planning a destination wedding nearly impossible. We began thinking of alternative ideas and quickly realized the stress you go through when planning a wedding. Ultimately, we decided to have a small intimate ceremony with our parents and siblings (and dogs!) only and take the money that would have gone towards our wedding and put it towards a down payment on our future home together. We will miss celebrating with you all but we are so happy with this decision.
