Our story

And then I met you...

I've always said Christian and I were just meant to be together. Even though we were born in two different countries, our paths happened to cross in Texas. Originally from Tennessee, I had been living in Texas for about 2 years and Christian had been living here for about 5 years. We were both just coasting in life at this point when a mutual friend recruited Christian to help me move in September of 2022. Once I was all moved in, being exhausted from work, he left before I could thank him for his help. He texted me the next night out of the blue to ask if I wanted a few pieces of furniture he no longer needed. I did need furniture, but mostly I thought he was cute and wanted a chance to shoot my shot. The next day he brought the furniture and we ended up talking for 3 hours. In addition to furniture, luckily, I also needed my lights fixed in my apartment, so he offered to come back and fix them later that week. As promised, he came by to help with the lights. He brought me Canadian snacks that night and we talked for hours. Thus, the 'queso conversation' was born. (I made him listen to my argument that queso had to be white, not yellow, or it's not real queso.) As Christian recalls it, it was that queso conversation that night that sealed the deal. A few days later, on his way out of town for work, he called to ask if he could stop by and bring me something. He brought me a candle and asked if I would go to the Koe Wetzel concert with him. We've pretty much been inseparable since. We even spent our first Christmas together that year. When he told his parents about me (only 2 months later), they invited me to their Disney trip. I was so stoked that they wanted me to go on their family trip. He came home with me to meet my family that Christmas as well. The following summer we did a huge road trip up to Canada and had a blast. On the way back we had the crazy idea to buy a house and ended up signing for a house to be built and ready for March 2024. Christian later proposed to me in December of 2023 in New York City at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. I pointed out engagement ring advertisements all night throughout the city, not having a clue that he had mine in his jacket pocket the whole time. We've always had a spontaneous and fun relationship, so it only made sense for us to elope in Vegas, so we did on May 27th, 2024. Now we want to celebrate with everyone with a vow renewal and a great time in Vegas! We hope to see you there!

For all the days along the way
