Transportation around town

You can use a ride-share all weekend to get around, it's super easy in San Diego. Or you can rent a car. That decision will likely depend on where you are staying and if you plan to jet around San Diego for the day. Please use a ride share to the wedding, if possible. If driving, please carpool. Parking is VERY limited.

FLIGHTS

Easy. Fly in to San Diego International Airport. The wedding is in Leucadia, CA so for reference, that is 27 miles north and that translates to 25 minutes with no traffic up to 1 hr in traffic (Friday rush hour traffic).

HOTELS

The hotels near us are a mixed bag - in price and quality. Fancy (read: expensive, unless you have hotel points): Alila Marea (Hyatt). Super close to wedding. New. On the beach but not a ton of restaurants within walking distance. There is also the Omni La Costa and Park Hyatt a bit north and east. For the we-are-not-going-to-be-in-our-room-much people we recommend the Best Western Encinitas Moonlight (NOT the Leucadia one). Walking to a ton of restaurants downtown Encinitas and Moonlight beach. Also quick cab to our house and price is right. But remember you could stay in Del Mar, Torrey Pines, Carlsbad, La Jolla, etc. all under 30 minutes from our house.

RESTAURANTS

There are a bunch of delicious restaurants in Carlsbad and in Encinitas. Make reservations though because they book up and are on the nicer side. Carlsbad - Campfire, Jeune et Jolie, etc. Encinitas / Leucadia: Herb and Sea, Buona Forcetta, Valentina.....
