Emerald Lake Trail
This is a beautiful lake- one of our favorites! You will need to park and take a shuttle/ or hike. There is a lodge with a restaurant if you want a bite to eat as well
Johnston Canyon
Pretty mellow hike/ more of a nice walk. Recommend going early in the morning due to crowds.
Valley of Five Lakes
Another mellow hike, but very beautiful. Recommend going early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Athabasca Falls
This can be a lookout or a hike- beautiful to stop and take a picture.
Columbia Icefield Skywalk
Never got to do it because it was closed, looks pretty cool. Its right off the road, so it could be a quick stop.
Peyto Lake Viewpoint
This can be a view point or a hike- we would recommend just doing the view point. Super stunning!
Moraine Lake
We haven’t done this one yet- but its on the list. There is also a lodge here and shuttles from the parking area. Plan ahead!
Lake Louise
This is beautiful but very crowded. Highly recommend planning ahead and booking with a company, as the parking is a nightmare. There are also hikes around the area that look down at this lake- so check that out as an option as well!
The Big Beehive
Great option of a hike that overlooks Lake Louise- have not done it yet. Also on the to-do list.
Little Beehive via Lake Agnes
Looks beautiful, have no done yet. On the to-do list!
