We're getting Married!

We always say that God’s timing is perfect — because without Him, our paths would have never crossed. What started as a simple introduction through a mutual friend became the beginning of something extraordinary. One of Alexis’ clients in Winnipeg mentioned her sister who attended the same university as Adedeji… and with one little connection, destiny stepped in. Adedeji slipped into the DMs (boldly, of course!), and from the very first conversation, something just clicked. The laughter was easy, the chemistry was real, and Adedeji quickly realized he couldn’t resist the charm of a true Benin beauty — haha! What began with a message has grown into a love covered by grace, guided by prayer, and strengthened by divine alignment. We are here today only because God remains faithful, intentional, and powerful in our lives. His timing brought us together, and His love keeps us growing.

Valentine’s Day — the one day made for love — became the day our forever began. Adedeji had flown into Winnipeg to surprise Alexis at her salon with flowers and chocolates (as every true Yoruba gentleman should). Alexis smiled, thinking that was the whole Valentine’s surprise… but God had much more in store. That evening, Adedeji told her they were heading to a friend’s dinner. She got dressed, completely unaware that she was walking straight into one of the most unforgettable moments of her life. As she entered the space, Alexis was met with beautiful décor, warm faces, and the joyful presence of friends gathered to witness something extraordinary. And then she saw it — the setup, the atmosphere, the love in Adedeji’s eyes. In the background, both of their parents joined on a live video call, ready to bless the moment from miles away. Surrounded by community and covered in love, Adedeji got down on one knee and asked Alexis to spend forever with him. He planned the most thoughtful, romantic evening — one that neither of them will ever forget.
