We met on an online dating site and set up a date on March 25th, 2016. Andrew was new to Wichita so Alexi picked out a Mexican restaurant, Molino's. She arrived shortly before him at the restaurant and saw him back his truck into the parking spot and knew he must be a keeper. After dinner, Alexi drove him around town to see ALL the sites on their way to All Star Sports for a few rounds of mini golf. They each won a game and Andrew was upset he lost. She drove him back to his truck and they parted ways. Evidently both had a good time and the rest is history. Inseparable until he moved to GA.
They knew they would be getting married a couple years in. When Andrew interviewed for his current job, the conversations got more serious and we started planning. Alexi flew to visit Andrew in March. On Thursday of her trip they went out to eat breakfast and then Andrew started driving far, far away. Eventually, like an hour later, they ended up at Toccoa Falls. They walked up the path to the falls and Andrew starting talking about all of the people that died when the dam broke and flooded the town. 40 acres of water poured over the falls and submerged the little town and Christian College killing about 40 and injuring many others. Very romantic stuff. They walked around and were accompanied by another small group. After the group left, Andrew sat down on a rock where Alexi followed. During the conversation, Andrew was unwrapping the ring behind his back very sneakily. He got down on his knee and asked her to marry him and she said yes!
