Things To Do

There are LOTS of neat things to do in and around Springfield, great places to eat, and plenty of places to get a good caffeine buzz, so here are just a few recommendations to get you started.

Bass Pro Shops

1935 South Campbell Avenue, Springfield, MO 65807
, (417) 887-7334

Springfield, MO is the birth place of Bass Pro Shops! It is definitely worth checking out.

Wonders Of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium

500 West Sunshine Street, Springfield, MO 65807
, (888) 222-6060

This is connected to Bass Pro Shops. It's newly re-done, and it's a really fun experience!

Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park

2400 South Scenic Avenue, Springfield, MO 65807
, (417) 891-1515

There are many amazing parks in Springfield, but this has to be one of our favorites. It has beautiful gardens all throughout it, a lake, and a butterfly sanctuary! For a couple of $, you can check out their beautiful Japanese Stroll Gardens as well!

Askinosie Chocolate

514 East Commercial Street, Springfield, MO 65803
, (417) 862-9900

Springfield is the birthplace to Askinosie Chocolate, a world renowned, fair-trade chocolate company. If you need to get your Chocolate fix, check out their storefront and do some sampling, or set up a tour with them to see how it all works!

Firehouse Pottery

4150 South Lone Pine Avenue, Springfield, MO 65804
, (417) 881-8381

This is a really cute place where you can have fun and make or paint pottery!

Eurasia Coffee Co

445 East Commercial Street, Springfield, MO 65803
, (417) 720-1949

A Springfield staple. Great hang-out vibe, amazing food, and yummy, unique coffees (I personally love the rosewater latte). They give 10% of their proceeds to help different missions throughout Eurasia.

Dark Stone Coffee

1826 East Turner Street, Springfield, MO 65803
, (417) 450-9648

Be warned: everyone who tries their coffee leaves forever changed. They are a hole-in-the-wall drive through coffee shop. They take care with their ingredients, getting their coffee roasted locally and making their own syrups and oat milk!

Pineapple Whip

3850 South Campbell Avenue, Springfield, MO 65807
, (417) 207-3975

Pineapple whip is a Springfield Summer staple. It's dairy free pineapple soft serve. Their options include their classic flavor and then a rotating flavor.

Branson

Branson, MO 65616

Branson has tons to do from theme parks, to museums, to live shows. Fun fact: they actually do more shows than Vegas a year, but the majority of them are family friendly!

For all the days along the way
