Alexia & Daniel first met at a bar called Lucky's in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Daniel happened to sit next to one of Alexia's friends who had lost her phone and car keys. He offered to help them trace back their steps to find the lost items. The whole time Daniel was so positive telling them that they were going to find them, to have some faith. He ended up finding the car keys and the rest is history. He was in Alexia's contacts as "Danny the Savior" for saving the night. They both knew that this was going to be the start of their relationship.

It was Alexia & Daniel's four year anniversary and they had decided to take a trip to Naples, FL for the weekend. The day of the proposal, they spent the day at the beach with Daniel's cousin and her baby. After being at the beach all day, Danny planned a nice dinner at a restaurant that Alexia's parents would take her to when they would take family trips to Naples. They ordered an appetizer, calamari, that Daniel decided to eat even though he has a shellfish allergy. Well, Daniel started not to feel well and went to the bathroom, came back still was not feeling well and then went to the car to look for his allergy medication. All the while, Alexia was enjoying her dinner. After Alexia ate her meal, Danny hands Alexia a little box and said " I want to give you this before I die". Alexia said "Is this the diamond earrings I wanted?!" She opened the box and tears just started running down both of their faces . Alexia shook her head in the motion of yes. They were both emotional and so happy that they had found someone that they want to spend the rest of our lives with. After dinner they went back to the hotel so Daniel could sleep off all the allergy medication he took. The next morning after the proposal, the couple got the horrific news that Alexia's father had passed away in the middle of the night. Even though the proposal ended in a tragedy they still enjoyed the brief moment of happiness they shared together.
