Where in the Badlands will the ceremony be held?

Answer

Dakota & Lexi are going to tour the National Park prior to the ceremony. Specific location/ view point will be sent out to the all wedding guests prior to the ceremony in days advance. The location will be easy to access with little to no hiking involved for the ceremony. - We will be in communication with all of our guests the day prior and the day of to make sure everyone has the time/ date/ locations!

Are kids allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes- Dakota & Lexi just ask that all kids are acting appropriately & not running around during the ceremony. The ceremony will be short and audio recorded, so we only ask for our special moment not to be interrupted by kids.

What will the weather in South Dakota be like in October?

Answer

In October, Badlands typically experience daytime highs of 50-60 degrees, dropping to 40-30 degrees at night. Snow is possible at higher elevations, but Dakota & Lexi don't like being cold, so they will try their best to pick a lower elevation with breathtaking views!

Will dinner be provided?

Answer

Yes- After a short & easy decision, we will be bringing pizzas from a local pizza parlor, along with wedding cake at the after party!

How many nights should I book for a hotel/ airbnb?

Answer

That is totally up to you! We only ask that everyone in the wedding party is in South Dakota the day prior to meet for the rehearsal (October 9th). Dakota & Lexi are staying for 4 nights (October 9-October 13)

When should I reserve my hotel room?

Answer

If you plan on staying at La Quinta by Wyndham with us, plan on making your reservation EARLY just to be safe! (we will try to remind everyone as well) The hotel takes reservations a year in advance. (October 2025 you should be able to book your room!)

Are there any other events planned?

Answer

Yes, but nothing that is on a strict schedule! We plan on visiting the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, and a few other locations while we are out here. Perks of having a micro-wedding, is that we will easily be able to coordinate these plans with everyone once we are all there for anyone that wishes to join us!
