Lexi and Cam met through mutual friends and family 3 years ago while at Liberty. But it wasn't until the summer of 2024, when they both happened to be in a wedding together that sparks began to fly. After the wedding they both went their separate ways until the fall when school started again. Little did Lexi know that Cam had so much fun dancing with her at the wedding that he decided he was going to ask her out. Plan in place, Cam stepped foot into the school Library for the first time ever (okay maybe he’d been in there a couple of times but it was rare), and he found Lexi sitting with a group of her friends. As he approached the table he found his “in” by telling them he had a big test coming up that he needed to study for, and being nursing students, they all bought it. Cam counted every interaction with Lexi as a success, bonus points when he was able to make her laugh. In the following 3 to 4 weeks Cam spent more time in the library than he had in the past 2 years combined. Almost everyday he went to go "study" or “do homework" and talk with Lexi. They started to become great friends and eventually they began to meet up in the library by themselves just to talk and hangout. Not long after that Cam decided that he wanted to ask Lexi out on a date, so he invited her to a “group” hammocking activity and somehow forgot to tell her no one else was invited besides her. It was common amongst his friends to set up hammocks to hangout and watch the sunset, which Lexi agreed she’d enjoy doing one day. So, Cam decided that he would invite her to come with him and they could do exactly that. Being a quiet guy, he was nervous about keeping the conversation going, and suggested they could do a Bible study. To her surprise they had a great time! After that they continued to hangout and started dating a few weeks later. Since then they have been inseparable (aside from the fact that they have been living 6 hours apart for 9 months). All that to say, Cam and Lexi cannot begin to describe how excited they are to move into the covenant of marriage together, and they are so grateful to be able to share that moment with all of you!
