Country Club Plaza
The Country Club Plaza is an outdoor shopping and entertainment district filled with Spanish architecture, European art, and fountains. Designed in 1922, the Country Club Plaza features local and national stores as well as restaurants and nightlife hotspots. The Country Club Plaza is connected to downtown Kansas City by the free-to-ride KC Streetcar.
Union Station Kansas City
Union Station is a 104-year-old historical landmark that is home to Science City, the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium, the Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre, unique shops and restaurants, and world-class traveling exhibits. Union Station is located in downtown Kansas City on the free-to-ride KC Streetcar line and is within walking distance of the WWI Museum and Crown Center.
National WWI Museum and Memorial
The National WWI Museum and Memorial is the only American museum solely dedicated to preserving the objects, history and personal experiences of World War I. The museum was dedicated by Congress as America’s official World War I Museum and is located in downtown Kansas City along the free-to-ride KC Streetcar line and is within walking distance of Union Station and Crown Center.
Crown Center
Crown Center is home to the international headquarters of Hallmark Cards, The Hallmark Visitors Center, unique shops and restaurants headlined by Halls Kansas City, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, SEA LIFE Aquarium, and the Museum of Barbecue. Crown Center is located in downtown Kansas City along the free-to-ride KC Streetcar line and is within walking distance of the WWI Museum and Union Station.
Worlds of Fun
Owned and operated by Six Flags, Worlds of Fun is a large amusement park that is divided into eight themed areas: Gateway Gardens, East Asia, Americana, Wild West, Europa, Africa, Scandinavia, and Planet Snoopy, the last of which is intended for small children and is filled with kid-sized rides and activities. Access to adjoining water park Oceans of Fun is included with admission.
River Market
The River Market is a historic riverfront district that served as the city's original founding site in the 1830s. Today, it is highly walkable and home to many attractions, including The City Market, the region's largest farmers market featuring over 140 stalls of fresh produce, local flowers, and homemade goods. The River Market is located in downtown and is on the free-to-ride KC Streetcar line.
Kauffman Stadium
Kansas City is home to Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals. The Kansas City Royals host the Detroit Tigers at Kauffman Stadium in a 3-game series from May 8th to May 10th. Kauffman Stadium is recognized throughout baseball as one of the game's most beautiful ballparks.
