We first met in 2003 at a punk rock show in downtown Modesto. We were both 16. Our first meeting was memorable, and even though it wasn't love at first sight, it was evident that neither one of us had ever met anyone like the other before. After 5 years of friendship, we took a trip to Tahoe and decided to give dating a try. In those 10 years since that trip, we have built a life together that has included adding a furry friend to our family and moving to Los Angeles (okay, LA adjacent but whatever). Last December, we took a drive to Solvang, our neighborhood Scandinavian community, where we got engaged. It was awkward, naturally, as most serious moments with us are, but it was also perfect. We're so happy to continue sharing our lives together and get married with our closest friends and family by our sides.
