Since we will be so close to Mt. Hood Mountain, here is a popular trail to one of the top waterfalls in the area, Tamanawas Falls. It is roughly a 4 mile hike there and back.

Cannon Beach has a beautiful, unique rock formation and is known as the beach used in the movie, The Goonies. It is a great experience to see the Pacific Ocean as well! (1.5 hours from Portland)
