Lexi was working as a barista at DoubleShot the summer of 2019 when Thomas would come in regularly and use the coffee shop as his office. They quickly hit it off and Lexi eventually started coming in on her days off “to do homework” in hopes that Thomas would also be there. Eventually, work hangs became real hang outs which became lunch dates, and eventually lead to the first date. Lexi knew she was crushing pretty hard, but Thomas didn’t let on to how he was feeling. He asked Lexi out on their first date the night after he returned from a week-long trip to Switzerland. He brought her back a postcard with a picture of a bouquet of flowers and said “I couldn’t bring you flowers from Switzerland so I brought you this instead. Would you like to go on a date sometime?”
