We matched on Hinge in Summer of 2020 when we were both living in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. After some back and forth conversation and bonding over our favorite neighborhood restaurant, Etta, we realized that we were actually neighbors. We went on our first date a few days later, a sweet park date complete with a blanket, drinks, and music (the only thing it was missing was a candle, Kaylee), and the rest was history. :)
Alex planned a gorgeous surprise for Audrey on the first day of their summer trip to Ibiza, Spain. After a long day of travel and a missed connection, the two landed in Ibiza to meet the rest of the group at the villa, and Alex was sweating watching the clock. He had come up with a surprise sunset proposal at the lookout point of the famous rock formation Es Vedra, that only a few people knew about. Es Vedra is rumored to be the third most magnetic point in the world behind The Bermuda Triangle and North Pole, with powerful healing energies and positive auras - so romantic! He disguised this plan using a coastal sunset dinner reservation that we were running late for, so the crew needed to hurry. The group traveled down a rugged rocky road for about 15 minutes towards the coast line, and Audrey had no idea what was in store. They pulled over when Alex asked the taxi driver if he could wait while everyone watched the sunset. The two walked alone out to the ledge of the cliff to admire Es Vedra and sunset views. Audrey had no idea what was happening until she turned around and Alex was down on one knee, ring box opened in hand. Audrey can't quite remember what he said in his proposal, as she was in pure shock and very excited, but she does remember saying yes. :)
