Missoula's weather in June varies -- some days it may be sunny and warm, and others it may be cooler, rainy, or breezy. By far, June is one of our favorite times in Montana. It's beautiful! Our wedding is just after summer solstice, so be prepared for daylight until about 10 pm. June 22 Average High Temp: 76.4 degrees F June 22 Average Low Temp: 47.5 degrees F If you plan to spend time outside, bring your sunscreen! We are at elevation, so the sun can be powerful on clear days.
Yes! We would love to have your kiddos at our wedding. In fact, we'll be sure to include activities at our reception that will be fun for everyone, regardless of age!
There will be no hangry people here (including the bride + groom). We will have plenty of drinks and food throughout the ceremony and reception. We will have dinner served from Notorious PIG, a beloved Missoula BBQ joint. If you have dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegan, etc.) please let us know and we'll make sure you are accommodated.
For the wedding: Montana-formal. Garden party western. For the ladies - think flowy florals, sundresses, or a chic jumpsuit are all great options. For the guys - dress pants or slacks and a nice shirt, bonus points if you have a bolo tie! Overall, we want you to be comfortable and ready to party! For the welcome bonfire on Friday night, the dress code is casual. There will be Biga pizza, s'mores, yard games, and music. Wear whatever you are most comfortable in! Because Missoula's weather can be warm or cool in June, we encourage layers for the outdoor ceremony. The ceremony will take place under a shaded pavilion, but because the days are long this time of year - it still may be sunny and hot outside. The Home Arts Building, where the reception will take place, has air conditioning.
Yes. The ceremony will take place at Pattee Canyon Picnic Area, about 5 miles from downtown. There is plenty of parking available. We encourage carpooling, and if you are interested in sharing a ride - please let us know and we can help set up groups! The reception will take place at the Home Arts Building at the Missoula Fairgrounds (in town!) It is about a 10-15 minute drive from Pattee Canyon. Missoula's buses are free to the public but do not run to Pattee Canyon Picnic Area. Uber and Lyft are also options if you cannot carpool.
Yes! We are excited to welcome you to Missoula. Alex will be hosting a MakerSpace demonstration at the Missoula Library (where he works) on Friday morning. Come down and use the laser engraver, 3D printer, and other awesome tools. More info to come! We'll also have a welcome BBQ at Pattee Canyon Picnic Area on Friday at 7 PM. There will be food, drinks, S'mores, and activities.
