Cedarburg is a cute little town with a lot of local stores. Walking the main street is a relaxing way to spend the morning. Check out Penzey's for all your spice needs or Boulangerie Du Monde for some exceptional bakery items. Get there early, though, because they sell out fast!
This is where we had our first ever date. As such, it holds a special place in both of our hearts. When Alex's friends converge in Wisconsin for the holidays, it is not uncommon to see them sipping on coffee and catching up while at Fiddleheads.
Check out the restaurant the Alex spent a summer serving at. Full of kitschy decor and an unclear theme, this place is always a fun time. They are known for their margaritas and the special seasoning they put on the chips that every table gets.
You can't come to Wisconsin without getting some quality cheese. A staple for the Miller family, this store has really yummy ice cream and food in addition to very fresh (squeaky) cheese curds. Zen recommends getting the deep fried cheese curds.
Port Washington is located right on Lake Michigan. It has a quaint downtown area that is fun to walk around as well as a breakwater light that you can walk out to. We recommend checking out the Java Hut for good coffee and Ewig Brothers Inc. for some excellent smoked fish.
