York Harvestfest

Shortsands Beach, York, ME

This free, all-ages festival is held on the beach, lasts all day, and continues no matter the weather. Visitors can find delicious eats from local vendors, artisans selling their wares, live music, and more.

Portsmouth, NH

Portsmouth, NH is located about 20 minutes from York. It is a great area to explore where you can find lots of shops, restaurants, breweries, and more!

Kittery Premium Outlets

The Kittery Outlets are located about 20 minutes from York. There is lots of shopping, breweries, and restaurants in this area.

Ogunquit, ME

Visit the neighboring town of Ogunquit where you will find souvenir shops, bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants, and more!

Walking Trails

Set out on a little walking tour and take in the lovely sights of fall in New England. Try out the Fisherman’s Walk along York River to Harbor Beach and Cliff Walk.

Visit Nearby Lighthouses

Southern Maine is home to several lighthouses with unique history. Some lighthouses located near York include the Nubble Lighthouse (York, 0 min drive), the Goat Island Lighthouse (Kennebunkport, 40 min drive), and the Wood Island Lighthouse (Biddeford, 50 min drive).

Hiking

Drive to nearby Mount Agamenticus (20 min drive) and hike one of many trails to the summit.
