welcome to our wedding!

Mix the summer of 2016 with Bumble. Zach was coaching sailing at Bellport Bay Yacht Club and I was lifeguarding over at Davis Park, just separated by the Great South Bay. Zach asked me what I thought about going out on a sailboat for drinks. I had never been on a sailboat before, but I figured if our date wasn't going well it would be a quick swim to shore! It was the thrill of a lifetime to stand on the dock at Davis as he pulled up on the boat. (To this day, I still don't believe that Zach had not used this move before). It was a matter of minutes on our sail over to Ho Hum Beach for us to know that this was something really special. The best date of my life!

Sally and Ed came down to celebrate an early Christmas with us on Long Island in our cottage and in NYC. We had planned to take a trip out with my parents and Danielle to Greenport on their way home to Cape Cod. Some nerves were let out on the merry-go-round when we got into town. Zach took my hand as we walked down a dock, our parents and Danielle falling back a bit. As the Shelter Island ferry moved past us, Zach got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Our group celebrated with lunch and a trip to the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company. Sally and Ed caught their ferry and we drove back to Setauket, with a whole surprise party waiting to celebrate!
