We’re getting married!

It was August 1st, on our 4th year anniversary. Alex had this amazing day planned for us. It started off with a romantic dinner at The Yard House followed by a romantic movie night on a boat with a picnic. It was amazing being out on the water, watching the sunset cool breeze on a hot summer day. I loved that day, it was perfect! We were watching Finding Dory and towards the end Alex started to tell me all these wonderful things as he's holding me as I just listen to him about how much he loves me and how how he envisioned our lives together as I leaned back against his chest and suddenly he stands up and I turn back to look at him and he was getting down on one knee and he asked the question, "will you marry me?" and of course I said YES! Little did he know I was planning on proposing to him too! I made a video compellation of us from the beginning of our relationship up to where we were now. All of our dates, accomplishments, silly times and just random moments. I had this beautiful speech all prepared for after the video ended. Once we got home I set it all up and we sat together and watched it. As it ended I was getting nervous and when it ended I started to get on one knee and pulled out the ring but I was so emotional and crying already that all I managed to get out was a Marry me? I have no idea why I was crying if he had already proposed to me haha. It was just beautiful and reflecting back on everything we had been through and envisioning our future together filled me with emotion and so much joy! It made me feel extra special that he talked to my family about proposing to me and also slightly offended that my mom asked HIM if he was sure he wanted to do this with me haha.
