The Cottage focuses on inventive, seasonal cuisine from around the world; utilizing local farms, sustainable meats and seafood. This is one of our favorite places for a nice dinner, but it's also a great spot for lunch, apps and cocktails with Happy Hour from 11am - 6pm Monday - Friday. If you dine here for dinner, we recommend sitting in the back patio area. It's a beautiful quaint space with live music.
An elegant and relaxed restaurant spot for dinner. This is a newer restaurant in the village. We went got the first time the end of last year and had a great experience. We definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fancy date night.
The Beach Club has live local bands and DJ's playing 7 nights week. If you're looking for a dance floor, this is probably the only spot in Siesta Key. They also serve food and cocktail specials daily, but we've never been here to eat.
We recommend stocking up on groceries and adult beverages at Publix in Sarasota. There's also a Costco next door if you have a membership. (FYI: Florida state requires a Costco membership to purchase from their liquor store unlike in Minnesota). No car? Use Instacart!
Every Sunday at Sunset, the drum circle takes place on the beach. It's free and informal. A group of locals gather every Sunday to this specific spot on the beach, they draw a circle in the sand, and drum up some beats. Sit down and enjoy the sounds or get up and feel the rhythm in your feet. Keep in mind, they don't allow alcohol at this event so if you bring an adult beverage, just keep it incognito. If your stay in Siesta Key includes a Sunday evening, the drum circle is definitely worth checking out. We always make a point to attend even if it's just for a few moments. The energy and vibe is lively and entertaining.
Siesta Key Beach has been voted one of the best beaches in the U.S. and often ranked #1. We encourage you to enjoy walking the powdery white sand as much as you can. We typically choose to walk the beach vs the streets when we can.
